The brand new direct investing service from Barclays Investments is here. It’s designed to make your online investing experience quicker, easier and more enjoyable, putting you in control and helping you to make more informed decisions. You’ll find helpful new tools and straightforward fees, along with a wealth of useful articles and expert opinions.
But don’t take our word for it; watch this short video to get a feel for what direct investing could do for you. Additionally, you can see for yourself the other benefits of the new service through our suite of helpful videos. Whatever your level of experience we’re hoping it’ll help you become a smarter investor. With that in mind, you’ll hear us referring to the service as ‘Smart Investor’ and you’ll see this in some of our communications too.

What happens next?
As we’re launching the new service gradually, adding new features as we go, we’re moving all Barclays Stockbrokers customers across in several ‘waves’ to make sure the service is ready to support your investment needs. You’ll receive a detailed pack that tells you everything you need to know, around six weeks before we plan to move your account(s).
If you haven’t received your pack we won’t be moving you right now, but don’t worry, we’ll be in touch to let you know when your move will be. We plan to have everyone on the new service by the end of the year.
We’ll continue to update this page with news about the service, including new developments and useful information in the run-up to the move. It’ll be the main source of information, so keep checking back.
